Therefore it is worth it to save your cash 6 months more to buy a higher machine, if you can give it back before you receive it. I CAN afford to upgrade both RAM and SSD if I stretch myself, because the price scheme on Macbook Pro and the iMac are much higher pr size of RAM and SSD. I made a 10 year plan for upgrading Mac, and recommend this. I plan to upgrade either SSD or RAM, and I am not sure if I can afford both, but it is still worth it. Maschine is NIs multitrack host that can be used as a stand-alone mini-DAW, although its lack of linear recording makes it best as a drum machine/groovebox within your main production environment.
